There are plenty of places in Italy that you have heard of and plenty of places you have probably put on your bucketlist. Although because so many people have heard of them and so many people have put them on their bucketlist \u2013 you will probably experience lots of crowds! However, there are many little known places that won\u2019t attract the crowds but are still fantastic. Read about 3 I have chosen below:<\/p>\n

Mountains – Baiardo<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s hard to imagine such a pretty little town \u2013 and I say little as it only has 300 residents! To get there \u2013 it\u2019s pretty hairy with a crazy 45 minute climb up hill! But wow \u2013 what a view when you get to the top! There are plenty of festivals throughout the year at Baiardo including a tree cutting festival in June. The best option for accommodation here would be air BnB<\/a>\u00a0or even couch surfing so you can meet the locals, some of them haven\u2019t even been down the mountain and have plenty of stories about the old town.<\/p>\n

Seaside – Lignano<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lignano is a perfect stop off on the way to or from Venice with a quiet but spectacular beach. If you are planning to stay a little longer there\u2019s a brilliant water park called Aquasplash. It has plenty of slides, wave pool and plenty for the children too.<\/p>\n

Although I think the best thing of all about Lignano is just chilling on the beach!
\nOne place I would recommend staying is the Hotel Vina de Mar only 250 metres from the beach and near the centre \u2013 click http:\/\/www.vinademar.it<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

City \u2013 Asocli Piceno, Le Marche<\/strong>
\nWhy not go somewhere that was founded centuries before Rome, but is still nearly unheard of. It has plenty of history with lots of beautiful churches, an outstanding Piazzo and lots of Roman ruins.<\/p>\n

The Piazzo is a great place to go in the evening and around two sides are the columned porticoes which originally had workshops but now are full of delicious cafes \u2013 would definitely recommend La Penna d\u2019Oca. If you are there for\u00a0a couple of days you could take a wine tour around Rosso Piceno or if you come in August there is a great festival in the square.<\/p>\n
