I\u2019ve always had a soft spot for Australia. Ever since Poi and I discussed travelling together way back in 2009 I was adamant that we MUST go. It\u2019s 2013 and it still hasn\u2019t happened, but so many of my friends have come back boasting about how awesome it is. Below are four reasons why I will be there by the time I\u2019m 30. Surfing <\/strong>
\nWe did some surfing whilst we were in Bali and loved it. I don\u2019t think there is better place hang out than Bondi beach<\/a>? Plus if you\u2019re lucky you might just get to see some pros show you how it really should be done!<\/p>\n

Scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef <\/strong>
\nOne of the most famous reefs in the world<\/a> and probably one of the largest at 344,400 square kilometres. I have always wanted to see the great range of marine life that is on offer here. This includes turtles, sharks and beautiful coral reefs \u2013 over 400 species. There are plenty of places to start the dive with the most popular being from Carins.<\/p>\n

BBQ for Christmas<\/strong>
\nAustralians are known for their BBQs \u2013 mainly because they don\u2019t have our rubbish English weather! As Australia is in the Southern hemisphere which means it will be hot and sunny for Christmas. Who wouldn\u2019t want to go for a cheeky dip in the sea on Christmas day \u2013 much better than shivering back in England? Even better\u2026 you can get rid of the traditional roast dinner and stick everything on the Barbie instead.<\/p>\n

Meet a Kangaroo <\/strong>
\nUnless you go to a zoo the only place you are going to meet these lovely marsupials are in the great outback. I find kangaroos fascinating with their tiny arms and powerful legs! Most of all I love how a female kangaroo carries around their baby in a pouch after it\u2019s born. One of the best places to see them could be Kangaroo Island where the animals are plentiful. On top of this there are other things that might attract you to Kangaroo island including beaches, sea lions, koala bears and penguins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
