Getting close to tigers in Chiang Mai<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We were so lucky to experience Tiger Kingdom in Chiang Mai back in 2010<\/a><\/span> – it\u2019s still one of our most popular posts! This is one of the most exceptional wildlife experiences in the world, not just in Thailand. You can get up close and personal with many of the big cats there, who are all just utterly adorable. You can tell they are well taken care of, too, which is really important at places like this. The staff explained that the tigers are trained from a young age, which is why they\u2019re so docile and well-behaved. You won\u2019t be able to cuddle any tigers over the age of two, however, as they\u2019re just far too big. When they reach this age, they\u2019re sold to zoos as part of a breeding program. This is just such a fantastic experience that you have to visit if you\u2019re ever in Chiang Mai. How many people do you know who have stroked a tiger?!<\/span><\/p>\n

Watching the Great Migration in Tanzania<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Head to the Serengeti between July and October to watch million-strong herds of wildebeest and other grazing animals move across Northern Tanzania and into Kenya. As far as safari experiences go, you won\u2019t find one much better than this. Tanzania is also home to some of the biggest game parks and reserves in the whole of Africa<\/span><\/a>, so it\u2019s not just the Great Migration that will keep you busy. Once you have soaked up all of the wildlife on the plains of Tanzania, you can head to Zanzibar for a completely different experience. Here you\u2019ll find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, which are perfect for relaxing after a hard day spotting lions, leopards, and, of course, wildebeest. <\/span><\/p>\n

Exploring the Galapagos Islands<\/span><\/p>\n

This group of islands is unlike anywhere else in the world. There are so many different species of wildlife here that you won\u2019t find in any other part of the globe – and it\u2019s actually where Charles Darwin came up with some of his Theory of Evolution. The Galapagos Islands is a wildlife haven that is bursting with all sorts of creatures<\/span><\/a>, so you\u2019ll definitely want to bring your camera. If you really want to make the most out of your trip, grab your snorkel and head underwater. You\u2019ll be able to swim with turtles and frolic with the seals. This is a little slice of paradise. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dolphin and whale watching in Kaikoura<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019d prefer to stay on top of the water rather than under it, make your way to Kaikoura in New Zealand. Located on the east coast, with the Kaikoura mountain ranges in the background, this is the perfect spot to see some of the best marine life in the world. There are plenty of boat trips daily, so you\u2019ll have plenty of opportunities to see whales and dolphins galore. If you\u2019re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of an Orca – also known as a killer whale.<\/span><\/p>\n
